LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police have arrested a woman accused of violently robbing a Kroger.

Police responded to the store on Tates Creek Centre Drive on Friday for a call about a combative shoplifter.

When they arrived, Kroger security had 33-year-old Rachel Pelfrey under control on the floor.

They say she used physical force to try to steal from the store, and injured a loss prevention officer.

Police say they found drugs and drug paraphernalia on Pelfrey.

She faces several charges including first-degree robbery.
