LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– An early morning shed fire led to Kentucky Utilities shutting off power to a nearby home.

It happened around 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of Alice Drive.

A shed in the home’s back yard caught fire, but crews were able to knock it down quickly.

However, the flames were high enough to reach a service wire going from a utility pole, to the shed, to the house.

KU had shut off the power after the flames burned through the wire.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
