Man Convicted In Murder Of Harrodsburg Officer To Face Parole Board

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The man convicted of killing a Harrodsburg police officer will plead his case to a parole board Tuesday.

John Paul Works was sentenced to life in prison with the chance of parole for the murder of Officer Regina Nickles.

Nickles was checking a report of a suspicious man the night of Oct. 14, 1998 when Works shot and killed her.

Members of Works’ family met with part of the parole board Monday.

Works will speak to the board today.
