SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Scott County couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to 37 counts of second-degree animal cruelty.

Brad and Michelle Lee avoided jail time in case, but the judge told them they prohibited from owning more than two dogs for the next two years.

They also must pay fines and stay out of legal trouble or face more legal action.

In March, animal control officers seized several animals from the couple’s Sadieville farm. Officials confiscated alpacas, pigs, parrots, horses and more.

Officers said that the animals’ injuries ranged from minor to gruesome. Some animals were found dead.

Then in June, officers seized more animals after they found a dead horse on the property.
