CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP received a complaint involving a two-month-old child with severe injuries on August 12, 2018, around 10:34 p.m.
The child was taken to a hospital in Hopkinsville then flown to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee due to the severity of the child’s injuries.
KSP detectives met with Vanderbilt CARE Committee in reference to the investigation.
As a result, 23-year-old Cassandra Hansley was charged with one count of assault 1st degree. Cody Hansley, 24, was charged with one count complicity to assault first degree.
Both were lodged in the Christian County Dentition Center.
The child is now in stable condition.
