CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two people have been arrested in Christian County after allegedly abusing a 2-month-old child.
Kentucky State Police received a call Sunday night, saying an infant had severe injuries consistent with abuse.
Troopers say the toddler was taken to a local hospital in Hopkinsville, then later flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Hospital.
23-year-old Cassandra Hansley was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Cody Hansley was arrested and charged with complicity to assault.
Both are being held in the Christian County Detention Center.
