Morehead Restaurant Not Identified In Hep A Case

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (The Morehead News)– A restaurant employee in Rowan County has tested positive for hepatitis a.

Health department officials say the employee does not prepare food and has already been treated. 

It’s reported that the restaurant will not be identified because it is complying with instructions.

The health director tells The Morehead News that, “If more of the public were to become sick and are tied to this location we will let everyone know immediately. The health department has met with the restaurant and advised the establishment on activities to take to minimize exposure. At this time we are requesting all restaurants review the Hep A procedures.”

So far, no other cases have been connected to the situation.
