Treasurer For Non-Profit Accused Of Stealing Thousands

RICHMOND, Ky. (Richmond Register)– A man acting as treasurer for a Madison County non-profit has been charged with stealing from the organization.

The Richmond Register is reporting that 52-year-old John Marshall is accused of taking more than $18,000 from the Friends of the Madison County Public Library.

Marshall reportedly took over $12,000 in the form of checks to cash and deposit into personal accounts.

The rest was allegedly taken through PayPal and Amazon charges through the non-profit’s account.

Marshall is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
