JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Jessamine County Schools are extending the deadline to get the hepatitis a and meningococcal vaccines due to shortages.
In a Facebook post, they say students who have yet to get the vaccines may attend school when they present a written confirmation of a future scheduled appointment from a doctor’s office, health clinic, or the health department.
The appointment date cannot extend past Aug. 31.
