LEXINGTON, Ky.(LEX 18)– A man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into the Transylvania University Campus Center Cafe.
It happened back on July 23.
According to his arrest citation, 21-year-old Billy Benney was caught on camera forcing his way into the coolers and freezer.
Police say Benney took several items, along with a large knife.
Benney was identified as the man seen in surveillance video.
He was arrested Thursday afternoon on Versailles Road.
He’s now charged with first-degree burglary.
