2 Dead, Multiple Injured In Flemingsburg Crash

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two people are dead following a collision in Flemingsburg.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Friday at the junction of Kentucky Highway 57 and Kentucky Highway 11.

Kentucky State Police say 25-year-old Zachary Rudd, of Flemingsburg, was traveling westbound on KY57 at the same time 40-year-old Raymond K. Jones, of Dover, was making a left turn on to KY57 from KY11 when both vehicles collided.

Rudd did not sustain any injuries in the collision. However, his passenger 26-year-old Mary Berry, of Maysville, was airlifted to UK Hospital for treatment.

Jones was also airlifted to UK Hospital for treatment. His passenger 18-year-old Raymond H. Jones, of Dover, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other juveniles involved in the collision were treated for minor injuries. The collision remains under investigation.
