FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– The state has changed requirements for Kentucky teachers.

Teachers will no longer be required to obtain a master’s degree in their first 10 years of teaching.

This vote came during the first meeting of the Education Professional Standards Board since it was moved under the state’s department of education

The state says the change will help school districts recruit new teachers as well as keep existing teachers.
