LEXINGTON, Ky.(LEX 18)– A brand new event is coming to Lexington with the aim of bringing people back to watch harness racing at Red Mile.
The Bluegrass Sports Commission is teaming up with Red Mile to put on the Fayette County Fair.
The free event will feature $2 million worth of harness racing, along with inflatables for the kids, a beer garden and much more.
"The Fayette County Fair is going to be an event that you want circled on your calendar for years to come," said Brian Miller of Bluegrass Sports Commission. "It’s going to be a family fun event with very low cost, this year is free admission and it’s gonna have kids inflatables, gonna have things for mom, things for dad. It’s going to be an event that Lexington will really rally around."
The fair is set for Sept. 16 at Red Mile in Lexington.
