LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Courier Journal)— The founder of Papa John’s pizza has sent a love letter to his former employees, via a Kentucky newspaper.

A few weeks ago, John Schnatter acknowledged using a racial slur in a conference call.

Schnatter wrote a full-page letter in Wednesday’s Courier Journal saying that he misses his employees and says that they will all get through it together.

It’s reported that Schnatter says the current company’s managers will not let him talk to employees.

So, the letter directs readers to a website www.savepapajohns.com, on which he says: "The board wants to silence me. So this is my website, and my way to talk to you."

The letter does not say if Schnatter wants to return as chairman, but reportedly tells employees that they are the heart and soul of the company.
