MONTICELLO, Ky. (LEX 18) — One man is in custody after another man was severely injured in a knife attack Thursday night in Wayne County.
Police say 52-year-old Donald Brummett was arrested about 10 p.m. after an altercation.
Authorities say Brummett attacked Billy Denney with a knife, stabbing him “at least 6 times.”
Police say Denney was stabbed in the back, both arms, the ear and hand, “causing a partial amputation of the finger.”
Brummett is charged with first-degree assault in the case.
He was being held in the Wayne County Detention Center.
