LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man was arrested Wednesday evening after police say he allegedly assaulted a woman and held her against her will.
Police say Richard French assaulted the victim several times between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.
According to an arrest citation, he strangled her multiple times, twice to the point of unconsciousness.
It goes on to say he prevented her from eating, sleeping, leaving, or calling for help, causing her to fear for her life.
French faces several charges, including assault and unlawful imprisonment.
