LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Thirty veterans who’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty were inducted into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame this morning.
They were awarded the Hall of Fame Medallion during the ceremony.
Secretary of State Alison Lundergan-Grimes was one of the speakers at the event held in Lexington.
“Many folks have a hard time understanding that veterans hall of fame is not just about honoring our veterans but it’s about honoring the distinguish service that men and women in uniform continue long after they take that uniform off,” said Lundergan Grimes.
The inductees joined nearly 100 other Hall of Fame veterans representing each military branch.
