The National Weather Service Confirms EF-1 Tornado in Daviess County

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The National Weather Service confirms a tornado caused some damage in Daviess County on Saturday afternoon.

Reportedly a tornado with estimated wind speeds of 100MPH touched down at 3:51p.m. about 1.2 miles southwest of Stanley. It ended at 3:57p.m.

The National Weather Service says the tornado was documented by many witnesses; a sheriff’s deputy even captured video of a funnel cloud.

Reportedly a home had a wall nearly completely blown off, some roofs were torn away and other homes had some minor siding damage.

Several dozen trees were uprooted and corn and tobacco crops were torn up.

The National Weather Service reports no one was injured.
