LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man accused of trying to rob a local fast food restaurant with an unusual weapon has been arrested.
18-year-old John-Parker Harrell was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection to a crime committed on Aug. 21.
According to an arrest citation, he tried to rob the Sonic on East New Circle Road using a broomstick.
The manager told police that Harrell grabbed the broomstick from outside and began hitting the door with it while demanding money.
Harrell allegedly ran before police got there, but was later identified from a line-up
Hhe faces a charge of second -egree robbery.
