LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A four-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Lexington on Saturday.
Reportedly it happened shortly after 2:00p.m. on Cooper Drive and Scoville Road, just a few blocks from Kroger Field.
Police say the boy was walking with his dad when he was hit by a car driven by an 18-year-old.
They tell us that driver, Jacob Heil, has been charged with DUI.
A UK spokesperson confirms Heil is a freshman at the University of Kentucky.
UK’s student government released a statement on Twitter regarding transportation issues on campus.
