LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)- The University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Institute announced Thursday that they were receiving a multi-million dollar contract from the U.S. Department of Defense and Office of Naval Research.
This will allow studies of injury prevention and create new ways to optimize physical performance in members of the U.S. military.
UK President Eli Capilouto, UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart and others were on hand Thursday for the announcement.
