BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Family and friends of the three people killed in a Boyle County fire early Saturday morning are trying to raise money to help pay for funeral expenses.

The bodies of Haley Stratton, 24, Scarlett Cloyd, 12, and 10-month-old Layne Gastineau were found after firefighters knocked down a fire at a home along Kentucky Highway 1108.

Family tells LEX 18 that Stratton also was pregnant.

Kentucky State Police said that the ongoing investigation indicates that the fire started inside of the attached garage before spreading to the residence.

The family of Stratton is requesting any donations be sent directly to Stith’s Funeral Home.

A GoFundMe page was started on behalf of Scarlett Cloyd. A bio on that page describes Cloyd as an active 7th-grader with a heart a gold. An aunt writes on the page that the family had been planning Cloyd’s 13th birthday party, and they will never recover from this loss.

KSP is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
