LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – If you’re feeling lucky this weekend, now is the time to buy a lottery ticket.
Since a winner wasn’t pulled in last night’s Mega Millions drawing, the jackpot sits at $367 million on Saturday with a cash option payout of $213 million.
The odds of hitting all five numbers, plus the mega ball, is one in more than 302 million, but in this game you gotta have faith. Employees at Thorntons in Lexington say they’ve seen a drop off in sales of mega million tickets since last night’s drawing. But that buzz is still in the air. Yesterday, they sold $181 worth of tickets. And they expect that to spike as Tuesday’s drawing draws closer.
“It has been freakishly crazy. They’ve been coming in buying Mega Millions, Powerball all day, it’s been an all-time-high and the sales too, I did my report today and the online was freakishly high,” said Marissa Dawson.
Mega millions drawings take place on Tuesday and Friday nights.
