LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Five Zaxby’s locations in Kentucky took part in a nationwide fundraiser for disaster relief.
A total of $135,000 was raised for the American Red Cross and their efforts to help victims of Hurricane Florence.
The event held on Thursday, September 20th included restaurants on Highway 27 in Somerset, Plaza Drive in Nicholasville, Kim-Kent Drive in Richmond, Skywatch Drive in Danville and Versailles Road in Frankfort.
“Our hearts are with those affected by Hurricane Florence. Thanks to the quick response of Zaxby’s licensees and guests, we were able to raise $135,000 for American Red Cross disaster relief efforts,” said Zach McLeroy, CEO and co-founder of Zaxby’s.
Fundraising efforts continue across the country as people in the Carolinas continue to clean up the mess left behind by the severe flooding Florence’s remnants brought to many areas.
