LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Several crews from Lexington utility organizations are packing up to help with hurricane relief in the days after Hurricane Michael.

The category 4 hurricane will make landfall Wednesday in Florida’s panhandle.  Workers from Lexington’s Davis H. Elliot Company will travel between Florida, Georgia and South Carolina to assist.

The Elliot Company is a full-service electrical contractor.

In addition to Elliot Company, Kentucky Utilities has sent 60 contractors to South Carolina. They are also hoping to release 70 additional contractors to help in other states in the coming days.
