MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Fire crews are responding to a gas leak in Madison County.
Officials with the Kirksville Fire Department say there is an active gas leak in the area of Kirksville Road south of Richmond, Madison County dispatch also confirmed they have multiple units responding to that area.
Reportedly the gas company and firefighters are on scene working to get the situation under control.
Neighbors who live near the Round Hills neighborhood tell LEX 18 that they heard a loud boom and that there was a strong smell of gas shortly after.
