Glynn Grogan reeled in a new state record when he caught a 106.9-pound catfish in the Walter Hayes Memorial Catfish Tournament near Olmstead on the Ohio River
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials say Grogan used a mooneye bait fish to capture the prize.
Grogan transports farm-raised fish for stocking private ponds, but one of his loves is recreational catfishing.
The gargantuan was returned to the water after the contest.
