WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police had their hands full early this morning after a car accident inadvertently freed several horses in a pasture.
The crash happened overnight on Old Frankfort Pike. Police say a vehicle smashed into a fence. None of the horses were hit, but they did manage to get out and take off down the road.
Police managed to wrangle the animals after they took a gallop down the roadway.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.
