MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A family is without a home on Saturday night after a fire tore through their house in Madison County.

Firefighters were called shortly after 4:30p.m. to the home on the 100 block of Sycamore Drive in Richmond.

Madison County, White Hall and Kirksville Fire Departments all responded and worked to knock down the flames.

Fire officials tell LEX 18 that a majority of the home is a loss, but there may be small portions that can be saved.

The Red Cross has been notified and is helping the family find somewhere else to stay.
