Annual Tree Lighting In Downtown Lexington Kicks Off Holiday Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – The City of Lexington kicked off the holiday season on Saturday night.

The annual tree lighting ceremony put on by the Downtown Lexington Partnership was held in Triangle Park.

A large crowd gathered to see the massive tree light up the night at 6:30. There were also free activities for kids and ice skating.

Organizers say event kicks off the busy holiday season which will be full of activities.

Ice skating will be open at Triangle Park through January and the Christmas Parade is on December 4th.
