Kentucky hits season high 10 three’s in 90-44 win over Monmouth

Lexington, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Kentucky men’s basketball team picked up its sixth straight win after hitting a season high 10 three-pointers in a 90-44 rout of Monmouth Wednesday at Rupp Arena.

Tyler Herro is setting the tone on both ends of the floor, leading the Cats with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Wildcats were getting shots to fall from beyond the arc, nailing a season high 10 3-pointers.

Quade Green was 4-7 from downtown, finishing with 14 points.

Kentucky steadily increased its lead throughout the first half, heading into the locker room with a 44-22 lead.

The momentum carried into the second half, as the Cats crusied to the 90-44 victory.

Reid Travis had 13 points and 6 rebounds, EJ Montgomery has 7 points and 4 rebounds, Keldon Johnson had 15 points.

Kentucky has now won its 6th straight game since the season opening loss to Duke. The Wildcats are back at Rupp Arena Saturday against UNC-Greensboro. Tip-off is at 1pm.
