JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A 24-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle accident in Jessamine County Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on Tates Creek Road at Blacksmith Ridge near Fantasia Farm. Two people were transported to the hospital.
Police say a car was traveling toward Lexington when it crossed over the center line and struck a tree.
The driver had to be cut out of the vehicle with the jaws of life. The passenger was unconscious, but bystanders were able to pull the person out of the vehicle before officers arrived on scene.
Both were taken to UK Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The passenger later died of her injuries. She has been identified as Cassie Foley, 24.
