Moisture streaming ahead of an approaching warm front, below freezing morning lows & a “warm” punch of air aloft will result in a narrow window for a round of light freezing rain & drizzle mid/late Thursday morning. The best chance remains west toward Louisville and the I-65 corridor. We’ll hold off on raising the LEX 18 severe threat index today but watch for slick spots on the roads before we go over to light, cold rain showers later in the day. It’s going to be a dreary, chilly and raw day with highs edging into the 40s.
