Tracking Record Rainfall This Weekend

Posted
and last updated

Brace for soggy and active weather this weekend! We’re in for waves of showers and t-showers Friday through Saturday night. Lexington picked up another 0.28″ of rain early Friday morning… we’re now at our 2nd wettest year on the books and this stat is subject to rapid change with more rain tracking our way. Our wettest year on record is in our sights over the next 48 hours with another 1″ to 2″ possible. The heaviest rain will be Friday night into Saturday morning but watch for more Saturday night, a few strong storms will be possible with that round.

The good news? A milder surge accompanies the rain, expect highs in the 50s Friday and 60s the rest of the weekend. We’ll finally clear out and catch a gusty and drier late weekend break Sunday before much colder air and an early December reality check tracks our way early next week.
