UPDATE: After social media users shared how upset they were that the show ‘Friends’ had an expiration date of January 1, 2019, Netflix announced that the show will still be there for you throughout 2019.
The streaming platform’s official US account tweeted the announcement on Monday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Could we be more upset? The beloved show ‘Friends’ will be leaving Netflix in January.
Social media users noticed that the streaming giant had added an expiration date of January 1, 2019, onto the detail page of the 90s mega-hit.
Twitter is hoping the streaming platform is just “on a break” from the series and that this won’t be permanent.
