GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) – He had just been released from jail. And soon afterward, police say he committed an act that landed him right back in the pokey.

Police in Pennsylvania say 36-year-old Tomas Lee Williams had just been released from custody when moments later, he attacked a woman in the parking lot and stole her car with the carjacking victim’s 1-year-old in the back seat.

The Tribune-Review of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, reports Williams crashed 15 minutes after commandeering the car – and fled into the woods.

He was later apprehended and is right back in custody, being held on $250,000 bail. Williams had pleaded guilty in January, 2017 to dealing drugs and was released on Tuesday.
