GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A woman has died in a head-on crash in Garrard County on Sunday.
According to a Facebook post by the Garrard County Police Department, it happened on US 27 one mile north of Lancaster when a woman driving a KIA hit a Chevy pickup truck head-on.
During the crash an SUV that was being towed by the Chevy pickup became detached from the truck and hit the KIA on its side.
The man driving the truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The woman driving the KIA died later at the hospital.
Her name has not been released.
