Coroner: Cincinnati Police Officer Died Of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

CINCINNATI (WLWT) —The Hamilton County coroner reports that a veteran officer found dead in a Cincinnati park died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sgt. Arthur T. Schultz, a 28-year veteran of the department, was found dead in a vehicle.

 

Schultz’s body was found around 12:30 p.m. by a fellow officer in the 2000 block of Eden Park Drive, near both The Overlook and Krohn Conservatory.

Cincinnati Police Chief Elliot Isaac said Schultz was highly respected and highly regarded within the department.
