SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Grinch who may be stealing Christmas right off of residents’ front doorsteps.

The sheriff’s office posted on Facebook that they’ve received reports of mail that was taken near JB Lear Lane, Skinnersburg Road, Graves Road, Honaker Road, Duvall Station, and White Oak.

Deputies reportedly found a couple of piles of mail, mostly bills, that it appears the crook or crooks opened in hopes of finding cash or gift cards.

A neighbor who lives on Duvall Station reported seeing a small pickup truck stopping at every mailbox late Saturday night.

Deputies are looking at surveillance footage to get a better description of the person or persons who may be responsible.

They’re asking anyone who sees anything suspicious to give them a call.
