LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reports that a woman found dead in a car that went over an embankment has been identified.
Reportedly Lynda Ashley Gentry, 74, was reported missing in Knoxville, Tennessee after church on Sunday.
The sheriff says a passerby saw her car over an embankment in Laurel County on Tuesday and called authorities.
Investigators say the car went over a steep 30-foot embankment off London Dock Road. Her body was found outside the vehicle.
The Laurel County Coroner’s office reports that she may have been the victim of cold temperatures.
A death investigation is now being conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
