A Wet And Wintry Weekend Mess

Winter is here to stay! Thursday morning clouds & flurries will give way to afternoon sunshine but it’s going to be COLD with well below average highs in the low to mid 30s. Friday stays quiet too but highs will edge into the upper 30s.

Then all attention turns to an active weekend. If you “wanna build a snowman”- don’t get your hopes up unless you live up north. We will see a shot at accumulating snow, but it’s complicated by the storm track and a warm punch of air from down south. Light snow will develop overnight Friday into Saturday morning, transition to a rain/snow mix Saturday & Sunday then switch back to light snow late in the weekend as the system departs. Basically- this weekend’s looking like a big, wet, wintry mess! Our best chance for accumulating snow totals (a few inches) will stay north of I-64 into northern Kentucky where it’ll stay cold enough to keep it snow for the duration.
