POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Powell County Search and Rescue team has rescued a hiker who reportedly hurt their leg.
The group posted on their Facebook page that they were called to the Grey’s Arc Trail for a hiker with a possible broken leg.
Powell and Wolfe County SARs were able to carry the man to safety out from Martin’s Fork, according to a post.
Rescue leaders want to warn people to use caution because trails are slippery and can be dangerous.
This rescue marked the first one for Powell County in 2019.
