Make-A-Wish Makes Dream Come True For Lexington Boy Who Beat Brain Tumor

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A dream came true this weekend for a Lexington boy who’s been through so much.

On Saturday the Make-A-Wish Foundation gave 9-year-old Eli Marcum an RV.

More than two years ago, Eli had to undergo surgery for a brain tumor.

During his recovery he spent months re-learning how to walk and talk.

Meanwhile, Make-A-Wish was working hard to make Eli’s dream a reality.

“Why did you wish for a camper why did you think that was a good gift,” asked LEX 18 reporter Eleanor Buckley.

“Adventure, that’s basically what I am in the summer,” replied Eli.

Eli hopes to use the new RV to go hunting with his dad. He says their first trip will be to Florida.
