LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – This week Lextran is commemorating the birthday of iconic civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
Lextran will reserve one seat on each bus in honor of Parks.
The seats will feature a poster with a picture of Parks as well as a QR code courtesy of the Lexington Public Library which will direct riders to books about Parks.
The poster will also include a brief explanation of why they’re doing this.
The honorary seats will be reserved each day until Friday.
February 4th was Rosa Parks birthday.
