PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Kentucky State Police are investigating after a woman was found dead outside a home in Pike County.
According to KSP, troopers were called just after 9:30a.m. on Saturday about a person found lying in the driveway of a home in the Johns Creek Area.
Reportedly, Michele Smith, 44, of Johns Creek was pronounced dead.
Based on their preliminary investigation, troopers believe there was robbery with an assault that possibly involved a vehicle.
An autopsy is set to be performed on Monday.
