NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Nelson County deputies were able to rescue a 93-year-old man who was stuck inside his car for nearly eight hours. And the rescue was all thanks to a good Samaritan.
The rescue happened Thursday before midnight when Andrew Koehler was driving on Louisville Road and saw lights in the distance in the woods.
Koehler immediately called 911.
Nelson County Sheriff’s deputies arrived and hiked down a hill where they found Carl Keown inside his car.
Keown had driven off the road and down a steep hill. He was trapped inside the car for hours with the temperatures falling.
