HALFTIME: Kentucky leads LSU 40-32

No. 5 Kentucky began its tough two game stretch at Rupp Arena Tuesday night against No. 19 LSU.

15:43, 1st Half | Both teams not letting much time go off the shot clock, taking quick shots and trading buckets. Johnson with 4 points, Quickley and Washington with 3 points. 10-9 Kentucky.

11:49, 1st Half | Kentucky hanging on to an 18-16 lead. Cats are shooting 43 percent from the field, while LSU is shooting 55 percent including 3-4 from beyond the arc.

7:34, 1st Half | Ashton Hagans picked up his second foul at the 10:59 mark, forcing Immanuel Quickley to run the point. Reid Travis was left open at the top of the arc and buried a three to give UK its largest lead of the game 29-22.

3:23, 1st Half | LSU surged out to a 30-29 lead after going on a 7-0 run. Kentucky answered with two quick buckets by Johnson and Herro to regain the lead 33-30 at the final media timeout of the half.

Kentucky closes the half on an 11-2 run and takes a 40-32 lead into the locker room. PJ Washington has 8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists while Keldon Johnson has 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
