MAGGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials in Magoffin County said Tuesday evening that a major roadway has reopened after a massive mudslide caused by heavy rains.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Kentucky Highway 7 was shut down after mud and trees took down power lines before spilling into the roadway.
The damage was centered south of Salyersville on the KY 7 north of Kentucky Highway 1766, or Puncheon Road.
