Scott County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Possible School Threat

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat made on social media.

According to the department’s Facebook page, a social media post warns Georgetown Middle School students not to go to school on Tuesday, February 19th.

Reportedly school Resource Officers, administrators and Georgetown Police are working to identify the person who made the post.

The sheriff’s office is asking anything with information to call 502.863.7855 or to remain anonymous, send us a tip via text message at 859.509.0510.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office and Scott County Public Schools will update students and families with any updates.
