VERSAILLES, Ky. (LEX 18)- Extras sprinkled the streets of downtown Versailles and cars drove around in circles as crews filmed a second day on Drew Barrymore’s newest film.

Several locals are going to be in the film as extras. Brian Traugott was pretending to be a businessman in downtown Lexington yesterday.  On Wednesday, he was back in his normal role, as the Mayor of Versailles.

“I have never been on the set of a movie until yesterday. It was an exciting and surreal experience really. There were a lot of takes. Learned a lot about the process. It was good fun. A lot of people had a lot of fun,” Traugott told LEX 18.

Main Street was shut down as crews shot drone footage.

“It’s a very big deal to Versailles, as it generated a lot of buzz, a lot of interest, a lot of excitement, a lot of pride. And that’s really what it means. We know how Versailles, Woodford County and Central Kentucky are and we’re glad to see Hollywood take note,” said Traugott.
